Roger Marshall

Roger is a corporate and technology PR specialist with over 16 years' experience in the public relations and marketing industries across Australia, Europe and the US. His broad range of clients draw on both the B2B and B2C sectors where most recently, he worked with technology names such as Acer, Google, BlackBerry, Dell, Business Objects, Vignette and MessageLabs.

He joined Upstream from a group managing director/partner role at Sydney-based technology PR firms, Spectrum Communications and Max Australia where he grew revenues and resources to the point where the company was acquired by the BlueFreeway Group in 2007.

Before this, Roger successfully established and ran his own UK-based consultancy, where he represented a portfolio of clients covering the corporate, technology and telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and lifestyle sectors. Specialist services included global PR for a key player in the CRM sector alongside campaigns for T-mobile, Vodafone, Barclays Bank, Prosumer, Mail Boxes Etc and Zest personal development training.

Roger is an active member of the Registered Consultancies Group (RCG) in Australia where he leads the industry-wide annual benchmark study, and sits on the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s ‘New Media Group’. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and is a member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing.
